Today I am over at one of my favorite blogs sharing my decorating “quick fix.” Heather of The Decor Fix invited me to share one of my secrets. There are so many little tricks I use around my house to spruce things up but I had to choose just one to share today and I think (hope) it is one that you will find helpful!
I focused on a little guideline I use when styling the areas around my house. It’s no secret that I love to zhush up mantles and shelves because those little spaces just make me happy so I figured I should share how I quickly find the right mix of accessories to use. It has to do with these three adjectives:
I have found that a mix of those three things usually leads to something pretty and organic.
Here are a couple of areas around my house where I have used this tip.
Sometimes texture can come in the form of paper…I turned all of our books around so that you only get the small pop of color and the focus remains on all those gorgeous worn in pages!
