To explain my father would take weeks upon weeks of posts. I pretty much consider my life in two stages: pre-divorce dad and post-divorce dad. The first phase of my life he was the most stereotypical dad it was almost comical. The second phase of my life he has taken me on more twists and turns than I can tell. Some highlights…he can move clouds with his mind, he has constructed light fixtures with poster board and tape, and he smokes a pipe. To say I’ve got an interesting pops would be the understatement of the year.
I took a walk on Father’s Day and saw this plant and knew the best gift I could give him was to ask what it was and where I could get one.
One constant with my dad is his extensive knowledge of plants so it was no surprise he got right back to me with lots of info…
The plant species…dwarf elephant ear.
And this link to buy.
And then a warning to make sure it is a “dwarf” so I don’t end up with these…
Thanks Dad!
