Can you believe Christmas is looming just around the corner?! I feel like we were just enjoying summer. My parents have always told me time goes faster and faster as you get older and I am starting to believe it! Today I am sharing a beautiful master bedroom that we finished up in the spring. My clients added a master suite to their existing house and I came on the scene just as the building part was finishing up. I decided to take a much more serene and neutral approach than my usual style but it speaks to my design heart just as much. I love the restrained layers of calming colors and just the overall simplicity of the room. I think we all dream about a master bedroom that is soothing and a true retreat and I was happy to give my clients just that! Scroll through the before’s and after’s and make sure to read until the end where I have shared product sources so you too can get the look of this room!
Also, make sure to check back in tomorrow to see what I am dreaming up for my own master bedroom starting with a new mattress. What my parents didn’t tell me is that as you get older your mattress specifications will get more and more dire…anyone else not sleep well or waking up with old lady back problems?! I have found a solution that I can’t wait to share with y’all!

This is my favorite vignette in the room! Just enough color to balance out all the neutral tones. And you can never go wrong with this acrylic console if you need a little more storage or surface space but don’t want to add any visual weight!

I am so jealous of this uncluttered gorgeous space! It is giving me major inspiration for my own plans! Make sure to come back tomorrow to see what those are!
