Happy Cinco de Mayo! I got engaged exactly 11 years ago today! The date was a coincidence…or maybe Taylor’s subliminal way of incorporating his love of Mexican food in our happily ever after?! Anyways, I have the perfect design board to share with you today in honor of May’s beautiful weather! I worked on this board for an e-design client who just happens to be a repeat client. Her living room was my project for the One Room Challenge back in the fall. You can see all of those posts, here and the final reveal, here. Hard to believe that in 3 short days I will be revealing my second ORC project!
So this deck is off of their living room and foyer with a great view of Lake Norman. She wanted to add the finishing touches to it for a surprise Father’s Day gift since it is used a lot by her husband. As always, she is very laid back and trusting so my only real guidelines were to make it somewhat rustic with a nod to nautical. Some of my favorite things!
I like to give every client a board that describes the feel we are going for:
And then a layout depiction:
And then I gave her some ideas for additional accessories for those “blank spots” that always need filling!
