Making design boards is one of my favorite things to do. Something about pulling all of the pieces together just makes my heart happy. I love finding the perfect combination of color and texture. And I love being able to see all of the pieces of a cohesive room together in one snippet. I know that e-design is going to continue to grow in popularity and I definitely plan to focus on that side of my business this year. I am nailing down some details, as we speak, for a brand new venture this year and in doing so I have come up with a board just for fun. Thought I’d share…

I think I would use a combination of pale grey and some trim detail on the walls. And even though I am not usually a green girl, I really love that rug. I love that it looks old but in a modern way, if that makes any sense. And those cage end tables are just perfect. With all of the hard rustic edges I thought it would be nice to use fabric as art. I picture that blue tapestry mounted between sheets of acrylic for a light floaty effect.
I have a question for my non-blogging friends. I want to hear from the readers who read blogs strictly for fun and information. Have you ever used an e-design service? As I tweak that side of my design business I really want to know how to make it work best for the real folks who want real (virtual) help. If you are someone who would ever consider getting decorating help, please take a minute to leave a comment today about your thoughts on design boards: What is most appealing about design boards? What do you see as a possible negative aspect of e-design help? Would you consider “design-in-a-box” convenient? I know there are those of you who read and never comment and that’s totally fine by me but, today I would love to hear your sweet voices and a little feedback. It’s easy, I promise!
(If you are on Instagram you can also comment under my post that I will put up later today!)
