I recently went on a hunt for large-scale mirrors. I define that as having a width or diameter of more than 30 inches. Mirrors never go out of style because they reflect light, add visual space, and just plain look pretty. And they work in pretty much every room. I was looking specifically for over a dining room buffet but any of these would look great in a bedroom, over a mantle, in a hallway, or possibly even over a bathroom vanity. These are some of my go-to mirrors….
a cool mirror for under $100
Mirrors are a go-to accessory in my book. They can make a room look bigger and fill empty space. This one, from Kirkland’s, caught my eye! It is $60 and a beautiful navy blue. I can picture it so many places…a living room, a home office, over a vanity, or a pair on either side of a bed over the nightstands. Since summer is a time of entertaining friends, here is the way I am envisioning it right now…
mirror, mirror
If you were to hang out at my house right now there’s a chance you may end up in my guest bathroom. After you did your business you would probably want to wash your hands and check your teeth for food but there’s one wee little problem. Instead of your reflection you would be staring at a piece of plywood. I have stalled out on this bathroom redo because I can’t find the right mirror. I have an idea of what I want but I haven’t found “it” yet. I have been eying these great chain link mirrors around the web but so far they are out of my budget. Especially since my budget is about, oh zero dollars (thank you Christmas!). I did however see a great chain link mirror in HomeGoods recently and I would have considered getting it but it was too wide. That and it cost money.
