When it comes to clients I’m like a grandma, not able to chose a favorite. Deep down they really are all my favorites. Since it is still relatively new for me to decorate as a “profession” I guess the giddiness hasn’t worn off and I really feel so lucky to work with each and every one of them. That’s not to imply that these projects come without stress. I truly love this girl I am working with (a repeat client) but her room has kept me up at night. Sometimes things just fall into place and other times…I am indecisive, can’t get a vision, and beg my internet buddies for help. Remember when I asked you all what to do about this situation…

mintspiration
I have had mint on the brain lately! It’s such a great color and works with so many other shades. I have been a little stuck on a project and mint is proving to be the answer to my problems. I have been pinning lots of images of mint and had to share a few of my favorites…
client project: dining room design board
One thing I have learned in decorating for other people is that it is crucial to be flexible. Plans change, timelines get pushed back, and details have to be hammered out. At times it stresses me out (ok a lot) but I try to view the hiccups as a chance to become better at thinking on my feet and coming up with alternate solutions. One of my favorite clients just had to deal with a major curveball and now we are trying to find different ways to keep the makeovers going. I have been working on several design boards for her and we are determined to make the designs happen even in the midst of lifes little roller coasters. It helps that she is completely hands-on and willing to try just about any DIY.
