Today I am sharing my tips on how to pull a room together on a brand new (to me) blog. Marty from, A Stroll Thru Life, reached out to me to participate in her Pulling It All Together series and I loved the idea behind it. So many people can go out and buy things they like but to actually pull a room together is a whole other story. I shared one of my favorite rooms in our house and just gave my thinking behind my choices so you can get a better idea of how I made it all work. Click here for my my post!
outdoor games style challenge update
How do I love summer, let me count the ways…
Yes, yes the kids are home and blah blah blah but let’s forget about the standard mommy complaints for a minute and talk about how great summer actually is. We leisurely get dressed each day, instead of walking to the bus stop we walk to get frozen yogurt, happy hour feels totally ok on a weeknight, the kids are blowing up RedBox, I take a shower each evening just to cool off from the heat and it is glorious, and Harper has learned a new word…popsicle. Actually it’s pop pop right now and I couldn’t love it more. I was just made for summer and it’s lack of structure. I was born three weeks early, in June, probably because I just could’t wait for summer…or my mom just couldn’t wait any longer in that South Carolina heat to pop out that last baby, but whatevs.
We have been spending even more time outside preparing for the Home Depot Outdoor Games Style Challenge (say that three times fast!). This past weekend was crunch time in typical Beth fashion as I like to do everything with the pressure of a deadline hanging over my head. My Dad was in town visiting so I also put him to work. Luckily for me he is also an adrenalin junkie and likes to work under pressure. He helped us out majorly with a little side project I decided to do in addition to my game.
breaks over…my favorite 5
Well ladies (and gentlemen??) I am back from my brief break. Isn’t it nice to just take a breather now and then? Especially when you can ease back in over at someone else’s blog. I am over on Dimples & Tangles today sharing my top five favorite posts from my blog. I am helping Jennifer out while she is taking a fun little break herself. She has been on a road trip with her family and I am have been tagging along via her Instagram. Jennifer is one of the nicest bloggers around, which is surprising because she has enough talent to be super snobby 🙂 She can turn a room into something really special with just a can of paint and her mad DIY skills. If anything I should be sharing my top five favorite posts of hers! I’d love for you to go check out my post there today and stare at all her eye candy while you’re at it!
