dorm room design
If I were headed off to my first college dorm (Oh, what I would give for those days!), here is the direction I would take. If only I could do it all again…

Key elements:
We all know dorm rooms leave a lot to the imagination. They also do not provide a lot of storage.
This room incorporates lots of color, pattern, and a variety of ways to stash stuff.
This room also comes in at under $700!
Gotta save that money for pizza and books!
* Storage bench…could sit at the end of the bed and provide extra storage as well as seating.
* Canvas bags…a more stylish way to conceal dirty laundry
* Acrylic shelves…organize toiletries without creating visual clutter
* Desk chair…No need to settle for that dorm-issued chair. Add a little flair to your study space.
* Peg board…Keep pictures, schedules, and office supplies up and out of the way.
* Cloud art…Dorms usually do not come with a view. Bring some faux fresh air in!
* Clip-on lamp…Keep surface space abundant by clipping a lamp right to the bed.
* Rug and bedding…You may not be able to paint but you can add tons of pattern and color with your textiles!
