lately I seem to be finding a lot of things I need. Taylor says I don’t understand the difference between need and want but I prefer not to delve in deeper to that subject. I just know when I see anything with a pattern or color or chocolate that I need it. Understand THAT Taylor! (Just kidding, love you mean it!!)

shopping compulsions
Deep breaths, deep breaths. Every so often throughout the year I get the itch to spend uncontrolably. Spring is my worst season for this. I see, I want. If I were single I would probably get myself in a lot of debt. Here are some things that are really calling my name right now and I can’t make any promises that I won’t go buy it all.
My spending knows no boundaries…clothes, home, shoes, I want it all. First let’s begin with that peplum bathing suit…it’s the closest I can get to wearing clothes to the pool/beach!! That Jonathan Adler coffee table may be worth missing a mortgage payment for. Target’s entire dining section is going to ruin me. That picnic basket? I don’t even picnic but I would start. Francesca’s has a website, meaning I could just as easily buy inexpensive sun dresses that I don’t need from home. I would start with those sandals. Big flowy pants in a black and white print = DONE. Because I need a sconce and an end table. And last but not least, that picture does that Threshold quilt no justice. Go see it in real life and tell me you don’t covet it as much as me!
ORC: spring edition (week 3)
Did you score any amazing finds or
have a cool DIY you want to share?
This past week was not very good in terms of productivity for the ORC. I had my three nieces in town and then went out of town for the weekend. I did take advantage of having my niece, Molly, here though because she loves to do crafts. She helped me hunt down our supplies to create these fun little napkin rings…
I was inspired by this necklace I purchased from Furbish a couple of weeks ago….
I thought finding wooden rings would be easy, but quickly found out that was not true! We searched the jewelry-making area of the craft store and the hardware store, but couldn’t find anything. We were just about to leave Home Depot when I spotted these curtain rings…
{we just unscrewed the eye hooks}
They were the perfect size and color! I already had a ton of string at home as well as super glue so we got started. Basically we just started by choosing our colors, cutting individual pieces of string (about 12 in. long), and then glued one end of a string to the wooden ring. Once it dried we wrapped and then glued the other end. We did the same for each piece of string until we had the rings covered. I chose to just wrap half of the ring so some of the wood was left exposed.
I am planning to use these as part of some pretty little place-settings I am dreaming up! I am moving along with some of the other projects, but….no wood yet!! EEK! I am really getting nervous and I am super busy at the moment with e-design clients (thanks to my spring deal!) so the ORC-induced-anxiety is starting to creep up! Hopefully by next week I will have a plan B. Wish me luck and make sure to go see all the talent linking up!
And….even though I just got back from Savannah I am hitting the road again!
We are off to my most favorites place in the world- Sullivan’s Island
so I won’t be around the blog until Tuesday!
Happy Easter and hope you all have fun busting out your white pants!
