Man, did y’all see some of those reveals yesterday? I was blown away by several of the afters that’s for sure. Today it is time for the 100+ linking participants to share their reveals and that includes me and my mudroom. This little room has become my closet buddy/nemesis over the last two weeks but I have to say it may be my new favorite spot in our house! It’s tiny, it’s functional, and oh-so-pretty if I do say so myself…….
Let’s start with the BEFORE:
Atrocious. In my design board I shared the rustic-modern elements I wanted to incorporate…
That grey door served as a major inspiration. I loved the design and have had the image pinned for a long time. One day I had an epiphany of trying to recreate the pattern in my mudroom. Taylor jumped on board with the idea and then kicked himself throughout the last two weeks! It was actually a fairly simple project once we figured out a few kinks but two weeks made for a serious crunch. It is definitely my favorite part of the room though…
I also love this little bench. I used some reclaimed barn wood and ordered hairpin legs. It was such an easy project and one I will share more down the road.
I love the view from my kitchen now.
And remember the hideous shoe situation? Here is was on a a good day…
A simple white shelf from IKEA was apparently just waiting to be my savior! I also switched walls and it opened up the room so much more.
Now everyone has two baskets for their shoes and we have a pace for dog stuff as well.
I kept my favorite chalkboard in here and on top of the shelf are all of the cookbooks my Grandmother has passed down to me over the years. She gives me one or two each year just to keep her love of cooking going and she always includes a little note in the front. They are one of my favorite possessions.
I originally planned to put some framed prints of the kids but I ended swapping those out for my DIY fiddle leaf art. Something about the green next to all of the grey and white really popped and I just loved it! I also had to postpose my plans to hang a brass lantern but I am planning to do that in the near future!
And one last element that has long been my favorite thing in our house is our growth wall. We have measured the kids, their cousins, and friends throughout the last few years and it is so fun and colorful to look back at.
And that’s it folks! Thanks for rallying me through the world’s fastest ORC! It’s been a blur, now go check out all the other fabulous reveals!!

Love how you took essence from the pinned image (I've had it pinned for quite a while too)and interpreted it in your hallway. Dividing the wall into 4 quadrants to install the chevron boards was brilliant; also allows for form (nice design element) and function (coat hooks on trim moulding). Great results Beth!
