We held our first makeCLT last week and we had a really great time! As you know, we announced that we will be hosting pop-up workshops around Charlotte and our goal is to provide a new kind of night out. For my friends in the blogging world, it’s a part of daily life to create and add special things to your home, but there are far many ladies who claim to have no creativity, vision, or time and we want to prove to them that creativity can be nurtured in all of us!
It’s also our chance to provide some quick tips and help when it comes to styling your home. We are hoping that we can bring a little fun to the local scene and send guests home feeling inspired.
Usually when I am hosting something I am in a full-blown sweat as guests are showing up but, this time I felt calm and prepared. Lauren and I spent a lot of time getting organized and it definitely helped our nerves the night of. We were able to hang out and enjoy the event as much as all the people attending.
Everyone had all their supplies waiting for them.
Wooden boxes, paint, tape, and brushes to create their version of this…
We also had a drill on hand for those gals wanting to add a sassy tassel!
We kept set up easy- butcher paper, mason jars, and art supplies.
Although most of these girls were professing not to have any creativity, we were so impressed with all of their designs. Each box was so cute and different.
Me and my partner in crime…
This girl and I have big plans for Charlotte this year!
We can’t thank you enough for coming out and supporting this idea. We hope you had as much fun as us and will continue coming to our events!
We have a brand new Instagram solely for makeshop so make sure to follow.
We will post upcoming event details and photos and video from events…
And I have a page here on the blog dedicated to makeShop, as well as,
