I am convinced that God creates sick days to cure you of busyness. Poor little Oliver got a nasty bug yesterday and it ended up being great. Not his puking, but the pajamas all day and board games and a whole lot of nothing. Plus it was cold outside and just the perfect day to slow down. And today my aunt is in town visiting so I am continuing the trend and just enjoying being today.
It’s probably good timing anyway because I have been feeling a slight blogging slump coming on. For me, it’s always when I get bombarded by super creative things/people. I know that should motivate and inspire me but I start to just shut down. Like theres so much creativity that I just can’t keep up! So, I need to get myself back in focus and excited and that means taking a two-second breather. I need to go in HomeGoods today, look at some magazines, watch Bravo, and wash my sheets. I always feel better after. Maybe even throw in some soup and Breaking Bad!
yet another sick day…
Until I get over myself, here is a random video that will make you hungry…

this was such a fun video!!!!! i already ate thank goodness… for me it's one egg plus one white and a banana and coffee every morning. creature of habit. i save my creativity for things other than food. 😉
and i know that slumpity slump feeling…. sometimes it just takes getting out and finding that piece that inspires you. that's how it works for me- i force myself out of the house to find something that will make me want to GO again. and so sorry your boy is sick- hope you all get some rest!

Poor baby, and poor mamma. I think your plans sound good. I know what you mean about a slump, and I think your plan is a great way to shake it off. I've got some plans for series magazine and homegoods time this weekend as well. Hang in there!

I feel this way too about getting overwhelmed with TOO much creativity coming at me! Sometimes I feel like I can never measure up…then I go to HomeGoods or Ikea and I am happy again 🙂
