With only weeks to go I thought it would be fun to get all my virtual friends in on the action! No no I am not requiring you to be at my water birth…sadly for you all I will be delivering via c-section so that is just not an option. Instead I want to see if any of you can guess what we are naming her!
Me and my husband have always had a hard time picking a girl name and as of today we are still tossing names around. I have declared next Friday the official name day, where he and I both have to bring two options to the table. We are then going to pick a name once and for all. I think we both have an idea of the name from the 10 or so we always come back to but Friday is the day we have to choose it for real.
So, just for fun I want to throw some clues out and see if anyone can guess the name before sweet girl’s arrival. Each Friday I will give you a clue and you can leave your guesses in the comments section. I will announce her name when she is born. We are the annoying people who like to keep it secret once we have decided!
Although we have not chosen a name yet here are some things to keep in mind about our preferences…
– We have two sons, named Samuel “Oliver” and Sullivan Wilder
– We don’t like super traditional names
– We both like unisex names
– Our sons have each chosen a name for the baby: Oliver- Birdie, Sullivan- Chung Chung (??)
– Me, my MIL, and her mother are all Elisabeths/Elizabeths but none of us have gone by the full name
So start brainstorming and if you have any names to toss in the ring before we decide next Friday I want to hear it! If you leave a comment please make sure to tell me your babies names…I promise not to steal I just like to hear them! Check in on the 5th for your first official clue!

haha, so cute! Maybe Liza would be a middle name? Our little bean is named Georgia Elaine

My BFF is pushing for Liza too 🙂 I love Georgia!

I always found girl names MUCH easier than boys–lucky for me since I have two daughters.
Also, don't you want to meet her before finalizing a name? I know lots of people decide first, but with my older daughter, we had a pretty good idea of what we would name her, but I took one look at her in the delivery room and knew it was all wrong. I was glad we had solid ideas but had left it open. The name that popped into my head when I saw her was Clio, and after two days of discussion, she officially became Clio and the name has turned out to be SO "her."

I am the total opposite- I think boys names are so much easier! I think our plan is to go in with 2 choices and decide that day. I just want to have it narrowed way down form the 20 we have discussed so I don't have to choose under pressure! Clio is adorable!

Goodness, what would I guess? When is the Princess arriving?
Non traditional names are hard for me. Without knowing "you" or your family, the only name that comes to mind, and this is out of the blue, is Bella

Princess will be here beginning of November. I have several friends with Bella's…it's a great name!

Not sure if I have mentioned this yet….Evelyn;)

But what would her nickname be?! 🙂
Evelyn says
Hello! Well coming from an Evelyn, I would have to say I really appreciate Ryan's suggestion. Nicknames could include Eve, Evie etc. My suggestion however is based upon the fact that you indicated you really like unisex names: I adore: Harper, Delaney and Parker. Cheers!

Hmm, I know Sydney is sort of unisex but maybe Samantha (Sam). My kids are Jackson, Madeleine, and Helen. So exciting to think about another little one.

We are decided with our boy name for our next child but we are so torn on girls names – we can't agree on anything. One name that I love that my husband has definitely given the big NO to is Blair for a girl. I love it but he hates it.

Isn't it funny how different you realize your taste is when it comes to naming a child?! We have really narrowed down the choices bc there are only so many we agree on. PS…my husband says no on Blair too 🙂
