Do you feel like your clutter takes away from your decor? Do you find it hard to incorporate functional yet pretty storage items? Hopefully you all were able to stop by my Facebook page for the first edition of designPOST LIVE but if not make sure to go take a look through some of the posts and comments. I tried to touch on some of the main areas of home organizations: kitchen, toys, entryways, and paperwork! I also shared some of my favorite organizational products and I thought I would highlight my top 3 here…
File Boxes

File boxes are such a handy way to store all the miscellaneous papers that pile up around the house. I use them for everything! We keep this group of them in my guest room/office and they house everything from printer paper to our extra checkbooks to paint swatches. I love that they conceal yet are still easy to access. My kids often go grab paper when they want to draw!
Storage Bins

Storage bins are so versatile and could house any number of things but I truly don’t think you can have children without having some sort of shelf and bin system! These that you see above house all of the toys that my 9 and 6-year-olds own. Short of their stuffed animals, which we keep in their room, these bins hold every figurine, lego, and ball known to man! I love that they look so neat and hold so much. You could even put a few of these inside if you want to organize small items.
Clear Shelves
You probably don’t even notice the shelf in the photo and that’s exactly why I love it! Some spaces don’t need anymore visual clutter and this acrylic shelf is the perfect solution. It provides a little more surface area but does not take up any visual space. They have an airy look and are a great way to display some of your prettier things!
These three organizational products are my go-to items but it takes several more to keep my whole house in check. I rounded up 19 of my favorites in my itSums account (you can sign up for one FREE here) and it just goes to show that you can truly do an organizing overhaul on your home for less than $500! You may spend more or less depending on your square footage but this will at least put a big dent in your clutter! Click on the image to be taken directly to my board with all the products!
Which do you think would help you most? Did I miss any of your favorites?

Great ideas & products! I’m going to start using more magazine files and order an acrylic shelf for my office! 🙂
