Thanks for the love on my boys’ room. I am happy to know that all that hard work on the paneling (by the guys, not me) was worth it! I do really love this room and it’s treehouse vibe. Perfect for two wild boys, no? Y’all know I tend to go for the clearance and good deals so you won’t be surprised to know I did not spend a pretty penny on this room. Most of the stuff I had on hand or found spontaneously but here’s the breakdown:
*WOOD – I would recommend going to a lumber yard as opposed to a large home improvement store.
Paint – Valspar (matched to Benjamin Moore’s Dove White)
Twin Beds – these from Target (we did not buy the trundle)
*You can purchase these beds in the store as well as online.
We have been really happy with the quality.
Mattresses – this one from Walmart
*It is super comfortable and has been slept on by kids and adults.
Nightstand – already had
Shelf – Ikea Expedit shelf
Dresser – already had
Light – West Elm, no longer available
Rug – local HomeGoods find
Lamp – old, Target
Desk lamps – these from target
*Found mine on an end aisle on clearance for $2 right after all the back to school sales last year.
Curtains – West Elm, no longer available
Fabric – Cap Ferrat by Quadrille
*Both on sale right now!
Throw pillows – old, IKEA
Also I got some emails asking about the dog art…
We found that locally but it is by an artist named, Mark Durham.
And now let’s play a little game of “I Spy”…
Who can spy the big blank wall in dire need of art/photos/something?!
I have my eye on that wall…
Thanks again for all your sweet comments on the room.
