If you are here all the way from Instagram land- welcome! I commend you for taking the time to click a few extra times today instead of your usual scrolling!! Sometimes I wonder if Instagram could just be a mini blog and I could share reveals there. Now that I can add multiple photos that could be an option but there really is something about seeing these pictures in a bigger format and being able to pin them. This reveal is a little different today…an outdoor space. I have really only blogged about one other space that was done for these special clients. Otherwise I am usually inside the houses. But, this was fun especially since spring and summer were right around the corner when we started. I am just slightly jealous of these home owners and their new living space. It really is that more than just a porch because it has all the comforts of a regular living/dining area including a rug, pretty lighting, cool throw pillows, and a tv! Not to mention one of the prettiest outdoor tables I have ever seen!
When I came on the scene they had not even broken ground yet. They had their design nailed down so I helped select the beam stain, place the electrical, and handle the design aspect. All in all I would say that they most definitely just became the neighbors who will be hosting all the happy hours and get togethers!
BEFORE
So after swapping out the door for a larger entry from the kitchen, the framing went up, tile was laid and my fun began! Scroll through the photos to see lots of different angles of the porch and if you see anything you like, check the end of the post for all the product links!
So, I bet you can’t guess my favorite part of this room can you?
It’s that beautiful navy outdoor rug. I am not a big fan of outdoor rugs for the most part because the colors are always muted and they just look cheap to me, but this one made me rethink all that. It is so vibrant and even though it actually is very inexpensive, it looks anything but cheap!
Ps. That chair is so big and comfy! The photos don’t really give you a good idea of it’s size but trust me it is the chair you want to curl up in in front of that fire!
And by the way, I lied…my favorite part is actually this light fixture. I love the recycled glass discs and the faint hint of aqua!
Being in the south we definitely had to have electrical run for ceiling fans. We agreed that forgoing a pretty pendant light was out of the questions so we placed these angled fans in the corners.
Outdoor pillows normally do about as much for me as outdoor rugs, but again, this porch made me sing new tune. I love these pillows and after feeling how soft they are I would totally recommend them for indoor use too. No one would ever guess they are outdoor grade.
And Ps. I lied again…this bench is my favorite.
Every single piece out here is outdoor quality so even if a little rain or sun covers these products they should be able to withstand it.
The dining are is the total show stopper out here!! These lanterns have yet to lose their effect on me. Just gorgeous and using two really made the impact we were hoping for!
The table absolutely blows my mind…it is outdoor…made of fiberglass. It is so solid and beautiful and looks just like real wood but it can be wiped down. Same for the metal tub chairs (also outdoor grade) and the end chairs add just the right amount of charm and comfort!
And then just so you can see the table in relation to the sitting area, this angle…

I had such a fun time working with this family and helping them create a dream outdoor space!
