Lonny magazine is a virtual publication that is always full, FULL, of design inspiration. If you have been on Pinterest, I can assure you that you have pinned at least one of their images. Today I felt inspired to begin a series of recreations. I will take one of the rooms I have lusted over from Lonny and recreate it here. And of course my schtick will be that I recreate a budget-friendly version! First up, this gorgeous workspace…
This workspace was featured in the July/August 2011 issue and It is everything I love in a space: light, bright, airy, and with a touch of a coastal vibe. Here is my design board to bring this space to real life…
This desk is from World Market and is $300 less than the Lonny version.
The lamp is a Kirkland’s find and has the same twine enclosed glass base.
The chair is my take on coastal decor but with a modern twist and better price!
The art still represents a mountain landscape and some pretty pink.
Speaking of that pretty pink art, it comes courtesy of Sarah Swanson’s Gallery Wall.
She has been creating these simple yet bold paintings and selling them for $10 each, genius!
*Be sure to check out her blog as well!
For my re-creation I tweaked some of the accessories…
The simple white vase can be found, here.
The pencil cup is so adorable and comes from this little shop.
The trash can needs to be functional yet still pretty.
And, I would need to add a little flair to the desk drawer with a knob like this one!
This little re-creation is going to come in at right around $380!
That’s LESS than $500 for a relaxing and clean workspace!
