I have to admit I am a little bit nervous about this challenge. I think I have bitten off more than I can chew and for some reason that makes me oddly giddy! So, let’s recap…I got invited to participate in a brand new style challenge by Home Depot. They are calling this one the Outdoor Games Style Challenge and they really want us to use creativity to come up with something fun you can play outdoors. Last time I showed you my initial inspiration board…
We took a trip to Home Depot to brainstorm and get ideas and it was such vital thing for me to do. I am not a big home improvement store shopper so it helped to walk around and see things in person. Each blogger participating was given a material to use and mine is PVC. I will admit I was a little underwhelmed when I heard that because all I could picture was plumbing but after seeing all the choices, I had all kinds of ideas.
We talked and played with materials right there in the aisles and came up with a really cool idea.
And all this talk about an outdoor game really got our wheels spinning about things we want to do to our yard. We had some extra manpower while looking at pavers.
I don’t know if every Home Depot has employees this cute, Must have been our lucky day.
I love these scalloped planters…
And I’m always a sucker for hydrangeas…
So I have a plan, a huge stack of wood, some rope, and PVC.
I only have a little over a week to get this all done so I am so nervous.
I will be working away this weekend! Follow on IG for updates!

Beth how fun!!!!!! You are going to rock this challenge with your creative ideas and I can't wait to see what you come up with. You are great at pulling a space together! I get a lot of ideas by just walking around HD and thinking about how I could use things in an unconventional way. PVC piping is such a great product for affordability and can be used for all sorts of things – I used a smallish one for a long curtain rod in my living room, painted oil rubbed bronze.
