What did you accomplish or learn?
I decided on this combo and it is already with my seamstress, a.k.a my sister.
I also decided on the black and white fabric for my cornice boards. The swatch arrived and I was in lurve. I found some larger black tassels and I have some fun plans for those! I’ve already started the process of taking down the cornices and recovering them so hopefully in the next two weeks that will be done.
I also finally took down the wall decals, which made me feel oddly sentimental. They have been up forever, but more than that they were a real biotch to get up. Because of all the scrolliness we had to be so careful not to let any of the edges fold in on themselves while trying to stick them to the wall. This was one of the first times, of many, that Taylor had to step in and save me from myself. We grow closer when he keeps me from saying very bad bad words so these decals have always held a special place for me. Anyways, they’re down and I love the newly blank walls.
As for my last thing on the list…the wood. I have a great friend in town who offered up some wood he used in another remodeling project. Total score for me, but I haven’t gotten it yet. Once I have it, the plan is to create some floating shelving. Here is my mock up for that wall:
