I am!! It’s that fun time of year where crazy people like me run around frantically trying to makeover a room in 6 weeks. Isn’t it funny how I can walk by an area for months (MONTHS!!) and completely ignore it but someone suggests tackling it in an absurdly short amount of time and I jump at the chance. #issues
Before I delve into my plans for this go-round I thought we should look back at my past attempts. I have learned a thing or two along the way…
ORC Fall 2013
For my first ever round of the ORC I was naive enough to jump in with a client project. I clearly didn’t understand how many glitches could happen when you are trying to make decisions and place orders all within 6 weeks…less if you count in time for taking the final photos. Luckily this client was a dream and we miraculously didn’t hit a single snag!

ORC Spring 2014
This was actually a post from the week after my final reveal in which I discussed my feelings on my newly decorated dining room. Basically I was already second-guessing some of my choices and over time I had to face the sad reality that as much as I love black and white I don’t love it in my own house.

Here’s how my dining room looks present day…
ps- I have also noted the value of professional photos!

ORC Fall 2014
This was an epic round. I decided that I had too much on my plate and announced that I was sitting this ORC out. Fast forward 4 weeks and the FOMO got to me so I jumped in. With only two weeks to go I casually asked Taylor to throw up this herringbone wall. Our marriage wavered but I made my deadline.

I didn’t get the light hung though until the following spring…
ORC Spring 2015
Once again a brave client volunteered to have me tear through their house for 6 weeks.
She was pregnant with twins and in nesting overdrive so she was totally game. This is one of my favorite rooms of all time.

Buckle up because next week this crazy train is pulling out of the station, again!
I just can’t quit this thing.
I just can’t quit this thing.
Will I torture my family by choosing a room in our house?
Do I have another willing client??

I can't wait to see what you're planning because I think this contest is a wonderful idea. Maybe next year, I'll be able to participate, too. There are just too many things going on for me to do it this year. Have a lovely weekend… 🙂
