Last week I shared a simple DIY welcome mat and you got to see a glimpse of my back porch. I mainly use our backdoor so I wanted to spruce up that porch a bit. During the warmer months we end up using this area to hang wet bathing suites and towels and without fail lots of toys end up scattered in this small area. Just a few key changes are making this porch feel more organized, functional, and pretty.
This update was really important to me because I really want to try growing my own herbs and veggies. I figure starting small like this is the best way to ease my way into full-on gardening.
As I mentioned, we end up having lots of toys scattered on or around this porch so I wanted an easy solution. This can from IKEA can stand up to weather and I love that it has a lid!
What makes any space are the little details that reflect your taste.
For me, summer always means nautical elements, like the rope tassels and bright happy flowers!
See, that was a quick and painless makeover!
