I have been on a good roll with Goodwill lately.
First, I found these stools and then I scored this huge mirror for $20.
It is heavy as lead but I dragged that sucker right to the counter before anyone else could get it.
It is in pretty perfect condition so I didn’t have to do any resuscitating when I got it home. An added bonus is how the taller height picks up the reflection of the ceiling fixture.
I had been using this mirror and I always felt like it was too dark and heavy for the room.
I also changed up the accessories and tried to bring in some natural elements.
A mixture of white and green flowers.
And sticks I grabbed from my yard.
And side note, those vases were a Goodwill score from a couple of years ago.
I swear my mantle does not have a musty smell from all this Goodwill stuff!!
I have wanted more gold and silver in this room so I am loving this new
little pop of gold.
Yall know I loves me some baskets so you know I couldn’t pass up this one with the black and white detail. I am always thinking about my end vision for this room so I am trying to be better about adding things that help me work toward that.
I have been trying to work in more black and white so this fit the bill.
I get a lot of requests to help people style their shelves, mantles, and tables
One quick and easy way to do this is to bring in flowers and greenery.
I regularly buy bunches from Trader Joes for cheap and
I also constantly break off branches and leaves from my yard.
You can stick them in a vase, bowl, or small basket.
A mirror is a good pick-me-up too.
It brings in light and the reflection itself can add visual interest.
Finding one for $20 at Goodwill is huge plus!
Do any of you have a go-to thing you do to add a quick, cheap update to a room?
