Big renovations are great and I am all for a dramatic makeover, but sometimes the little changes are more fun. I love to see how a little paint or new fabric can change a space.
Today I wanted to share one of those small changes in my own house.
I found this chair at Goodwill a couple of years ago and immediately painted it white
and swapped out the seat fabric.
When I made some bigger changes to my living room, I decided that the fabric on this little chair needed to blend better.
I decided to “try out” a few samples I have in my hoarding cabinet…
tiny pinstripe
indigo ikat
periwinkle circles
abstract mudcloth
blurry ikat
Truth is, I could have easily gone with any of these fabrics because they are
all great but I ultimately chose the one I felt went the best with the rest of the room.
Back to my massive fabric stash the rest go…
I love this Richloom fabric and it took some serious hunting to find a yard.
I posted about it on Instagram after finding out that it has been discontinued on most sites.
My husband’s cousin reached out because she has a friend who works at the Richloom factory.
Next thing you know, a yard of this blue beauty show up on my doorstep!
And since summer is right around the corner I decided to swap the frames for a woven piece.
And threw in a spotted pillow…

Not sure I will leave this woven piece here but that’s what these little changes are all about…
switch it up, keep it fun!
See ya tomorrow with my tips on how to personalize a room in your house.
