I am feeling the post-holiday blues! That’s kind of the price to pay when you check out for a few days…reentry is rough. I thoroughly enjoyed my Thanksgiving break though. We have started a little tradition of running the Turkey Trot here in Charlotte on the morning of Thanksgiving, which doesn’t sound all that fun but it’s a great way to justify all of the eating throughout the rest of the day! We also started a new tradition this year of going to cut down our own Christmas tree. I have always wanted to do this so we headed up to Blowing Rock, which was such a cute town, and then hit a local tree farm. It was as quaint and fun as I had imagined. Other than that we just hung around and decorated for Christmas (you will get to see my full holiday tour on December 7th!) I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving too!
Did any of you hit your local stores or shop any small businesses online for Small Business Saturday?? If you missed it, I announced via Instagram that we are relaunching e-design and in honor of that we are taking 20% off a full room design! I took a little break from doing design boards but thanks to a brand new face around here it is back! A few months ago Susannah reached out to me interested in a position with design POST interiors. Honestly, my first reaction was to chuckle because I did not feel anywhere near ready to hire anyone. My days are such a jumble and I was scared to take on the responsibility of managing another person. But, something told me to email this girl back and I cannot tell you how lucky I am that I did! Susannah has seamlessly integrated herself into my routine and is constantly wowing me with her drive and passion for this business! I am so excited for you guys to meet this new addition to the team and I promise you are going to love her style!
Meet Susannah:
This Tennessee native, and now North Carolina resident has had a passion for interior design for as long as she can remember. Her creative eye has led her to a successful career as a designer. Susannah specializes in providing one of a kind spaces on an affordable budget. Her designs are fresh, fun, innovative, and detailed. She has mastered the art of mixing minimal, modern, bohemian, and eclectic styles together in a way that makes a room uniquely beautiful. Working directly with clients to create their dream home is her favorite part of being a designer. When she is not designing you can find her exploring new cities, working out, drinking coffee, or reading a good book. She hopes to bring her expertise right into your home!
Here is a recent design Susannah created:
I am telling you, this girl has such a way of bringing those cool bohemian elements together! But, she has also been on numerous client meetings with me and can really stretch in a variety of directions. She knows how to really listen to clients, narrow in on what they love, and bring all the pieces together in a fluid way. If you have been toying with the idea of redecorating your space but don’t want to commit to full hands-on help or if you are not local to Charlotte now is your chance. And for supporting our small business we are offering you this deal…
