I wish I could say I get out and support local artists more but, with three young kids Red Box and microwave popcorn is more my reality right now. Two Fridays ago was a perfect example of an event of which I wish I could have been a part. A local Charlotte gallery, Shain Gallery, hosted a reception for a new artist.
Josh Brown graduated from a local high school here in Charlotte and is now studying at SCAD. He clearly has a thing for whimsical animals and I love his style. I am especially in love with his ostrich series…
You can see all of Josh’s work here at his website.
You can check out all of Shain Gallery’s artists, here.
Here are some of my other favorites they feature…

Local artists are a treasure! I love visiting their galleries. I recently posted about a young man who makes ceramic mason jars in Denver. It's great to see their work! I love the painting by Susie Pryor thanks for sharing.
