I just felt compelled to do a Saturday post in honor of this sweet little girl, Libby.
She lost her battle with leukemia on Thursday and I haven’t been able to get their family off my mind since. Her dad, Josh is the sweet friend who offered my the reclaimed barn wood for my ORC project. I was shocked he could be offering favors or even functioning with his daughter in the hospital but, that’s just the type of guy he is. I didn’t use the wood for my shelves but, I promised him I would use it for something. Now I want to use for something extra special in their honor.
I don’t know how you go on after losing a child. Just a year ago she was a healthy dancing 3 year old.
As a mom, I can’t imagine having to let go.
There is nothing I can offer this family that will ease the pain nor I can I even begin to comprehend what they are feeling. All I can do is pray that they are finding peace and comfort somehow someway. And I will use Libby as a reminder, forever, to embrace all of the moments with my kids.
Life is precious.

Beth I am so sorry to hear that sad news. I'll keep your friends and their family in my prayers as they wade through the grief. Life is so precious, and it's SO easy to get caught up in the chaos of everyday life and let beautifully ordinary moments pass us by. Thank you for the reminder to cherish every day.

Wow, I'm so sorry to hear that Beth! I saw you post something on IG and I didn't realize that was the family. It breaks my heart and I couldn't imagine. I think about that sweet red headed boy who lost his life this week too and I just cringe. Thanks for sharing and I'll be praying for that family! Let's cherish these kiddos!
