Spent last week getting all my miniature girl clothes organized!
Her nursery does not have a closet so we had to come up with a way to store her clothes.
I immediately knew I wanted to have an industrial garment rack.
I love the look of the steel pipes against the girliness of the room.
I found this tutorial online and my brother-in-law put it together for me when they all came to visit last.
I painted the board on the bottom to match the stencil color.
(*Can’t wait to show you all of THAT!!)
The rest of her clothes are in drawers.
I purchased the hangers here.
(They are also sold in stores in packs of 5)
I think the total cost was about $75 and it took him less than 30 minutes to assemble all the pieces.
I definitely recommend wiping down the rack several times before hanging clothes because the pipes do have some black residue. I just used a damp rag.
Her little room is coming along!

I LOVE the look and feel of industrial garment racks! IKEA has them for a great price, but this DIY looks fantastic!

The IKEA one seemed a little too light weight for me and I wanted a more industrial look! If it weren't so easy we would have gone the IKEA route though!

My daughter's room has a tiny closet that is being occupied by my clothing because the closet in our room is being used by my husband, so we had to get creative in her room as well. We ended up installing an organization system and then put some light white drapes on a rod from IKEA to cover it all. We don't have a ton of stuff hanging so it's worked out well and has allowed for more storage. I think what you've done is great and so different too. Girls have so many cute accessories, shoes, and clothes 🙂

One rack will surely not be enough down the road!!
