Is anyone else getting their butt kicked by this summer? My children are slowly trying to kill me I swear. If you ever wonder what the inside of our house looks like just picture a woman walking around in a pjs, no bra, no make-up wielding a wooden spoon. That, my friends is usually the picture by about 9:30 everyday.
Couple that with sweltering heat and pregnancy hormones and things get ugly around here real quick. Case in point, one morning this week I tried to be all super-mom and let my kids have a picnic on the front porch and it couldn’t have turned out uglier. While cutting up a grilled cheese inside my sweet evil Sullivan decided to completely mutilate my new hydrangea bush with a bubble wand. I have been so excited to plant my new hydrangea and have been monitoring my yard to see where would be the best spot to plant it. Remember I showed you the picture of it after my Dad gave it to me for my birthday…

This post just cracked me up, but I am sorry about you poor flowers. I lost it one day when G decided to pinch all the petals off one in a vase…I lost it

Ha! Love that last shot of your little gardener! I know it is upsetting when they do stuff like that to your flowers…but just try to remember my favorite saying about raising children…"The days are long, but the years are short!" I say this with a little tear in my eye since my oldest is heading off to college this fall…sniff, sniff. How did that happen?? At least you had blooms to beat with a bubble wand 🙂

The little gardner had clearly worn himself out 🙂 I love that quote too and I try so hard to keep it all in perspective. I can't imagine when my oldest is heading off to college. As of right now he asks me if I will come with him when he moves away and I tell him absolutely. I am going to hold him to that!
