Yesterday Pam from Simple Details shared her Take Two edition and apparently Pam has a lot of supportive friends because there were many new faces “stopping by.” I hope you all returned today and will feel welcome to visit a lot! It’s always fun to bring some new friends into the fold. So, whoever is here to day, new or old, you are in for a treat. Well, if you will consider a post that is long on words and short on images a treat. I swear I will give you some pretty eye candy if you can just make it to the end. Think of this as one of those talks we would have on a Thursday night over multiple glasses of wine if we lived in the same town.
So January is almost over and I am wondering how most people are faring on their resolutions. Notice I kept mine pretty quiet around here? I am gun-shy about sharing my goals out loud because I seem to have a real problem with the pressure of “goals.” I love setting them but I get so nervous about the commitment, and dedication, and any eyes watching. My brother-in-law even gave me this book a couple of years ago if that tells ya anything!
Anyways, I wanted to share some of my goals with y’all because I know the whole putting things out there thing is true. And who knows, maybe my method of goal-setting will encourage someone else?! First of all I only set goals that sound appealing to me. It’s the only way that works for me and I am not about making lists that will never get checked off.
My new clipboard organization is helping me get focused.
I officially put up my lists, broken down by daily/weekly/quarterly goals. I also included one for projects I would like to accomplish.

I really like your ideas and goals — and I, too, like setting small ones that no one but me knows about — even when I accomplish it, I don't tell anyone — but it makes me feel really good. I will give you a hint — we have a small guest house on our property that needs a bit of spiffiness (is that a real word!!!) and we have guests coming in a few weeks. I'm full of ideas!!!
Take care, and enjoy getting your manicure.
