Would any of you be interested in having someone scour Craigslist for good finds and good deals? Obviously it would only really benefit those local to Charlotte for now but after seeing the idea on another blog (not local to Charlotte) I started wondering if it’s a feature that you all would like to see on here once in awhile?? Searching Craigslist can be overwhelming, especially if you have a hard time spotting “diamonds in the rough.” I could do a quick round-up of things I see that are great pieces. For example, here are some finds after just a quick search this morning…
You just have to see beyond the old and ugly to the possibilities…
Amazing what a little sanding and a can of paint can do!
And then there’s always these gems…
The seller is willing to part with this pretty lady for $25.
BTW it’s a lamp!
So thoughts?? Would anyone be interested in having a craigslist personal shopping feature from time to time? No sense wasting your precious reading time if not but I think it could be helpful and fun!

Hi Beth, You know I thought about doing the same thing. I think it is a good idea. How do you charge for being a resource. I've gotten so many great deals of CraigsList. People always say, "I wish I could find those deals."

I am not sure how/if I would charge for being a resource, especially if I am just doing it via the blog. But I know what you mean, I have friends that hate to look through Craigslist ads.

Everyone asks me how can I stand to cull through Craigslist. I think we look at it like a treasure hunt. If you have an eye for good design the items leap off the page. In Raleigh, the great pieces (that don't require refurbishing) sell in a heartbeat. Have you figured out the timing deal–finding it and scooping it up before someone else? I love that you are always thinking of ways to help your readers and clients! (Me too)
