When it comes to clients I’m like a grandma, not able to chose a favorite. Deep down they really are all my favorites. Since it is still relatively new for me to decorate as a “profession” I guess the giddiness hasn’t worn off and I really feel so lucky to work with each and every one of them. That’s not to imply that these projects come without stress. I truly love this girl I am working with (a repeat client) but her room has kept me up at night. Sometimes things just fall into place and other times…I am indecisive, can’t get a vision, and beg my internet buddies for help. Remember when I asked you all what to do about this situation…
The wall color had to stay and the couch was the only finished piece.
Do we paint the shelves? Lighter? Darker? Just the backs??
I dreamed about these shelves along with every other piece for the room.
My client and I have very similar styles, and in this case, very similar cases of second-guessing.
Usually I push her along, but this time I was stuck right there with her. But finally the tide started to turn. We found some special pieces that helped the overall vision fall into place. And the bookshelves? They are going to be major!!
A little peek…
We have just one last element to figure out and that is the book shelf lighting.
We originally discussed library lighting like this:
But this style can be pricey so we are playing around with some other styles.
To see some of my favorites types of book case lighting head over
to DecoraUSA for my post– I have rounded up some of their best styles!
And I promise to share more photos of this room once it all comes together!

The sneak of that chair on Insta was enough to tell me I'm going to LOVE this one! xo

Beth this room is going to be fabulous – I can't wait to see. I have a couple of those brass lights, ours are battery operated and not hardwired, and I think they are only around $60-70. Not really loving the light they cast, but love the brass. But that light you shared above – gorgeous!!
