No bold colors or patterns?! I couldn’t disagree more! I don’t think that a large piece of furniture upholstered in a fun fabric will weigh a room down. I think if done right it can be the very thing that gives a room life. I also think there are plenty of patterns that read as light and airy, not heavy and distracting. Some perfect examples…
