To me this season is all about gatherings! I love any excuse to be with the people I love doing something festive. Right before Thanksgiving I wanted to start on my holiday decorations so I thought I would turn it into a little impromptu party for my mom, my sister, and I.
It was so easy to set up…
I bought some fresh boxwood wreaths and greenery from the grocery store and then Oriental Trading Company played “Santa” and provided me with a variety of their fun ornaments!
I set up a work station for each of us on my dining room table.
I put on the Christmas tunes and we all went to work!
It was actually really therapeutic…
It was so much fun and the real bonus is that after a fun morning of hanging out we all had something fun to take home!
I decided to go with a classic red and white look and I love how it pops against the fresh greenery!
I was inspired by these candy cane ornaments so I decided to use a few of those and then add a coordinating ribbon. I also happened to see these great mini lanterns on the Oriental Trading Company site so I decided to use them as an unexpected touch in the center of my wreath. You could easily add a flameless tea light if you wanted an extra glow!
If you are looking for an easy and fun get together you really should consider throwing your own wreath-making party. The cost are minimal (especially if you take advantage of the great bulk-pricing through OTC!) and it can be a stress free way to spend time with your favorite people this season!
*Thanks to Oriental Trading Company for supplying the holiday ornaments.
