Back in March I had a coming to Jesus and decided it was time to take a break from the craziness. Even though blogging is my escape most days, it takes up time which makes the rest of the day feel like a scramble. I’ve been working on taking more deep breaths and focusing on the present moment. If motherhood has taught me anything, it’s that moments, good or bad, are fleeting.
So I unplugged for a bit and was able to focus on some other things. I wanted to share a little bit from when I was away…
First up, we had a little staycation here in Charlotte.
One whole day of back-to-back fun and a minute to appreciate our own city.
It was fun to just go for a whole day-
indoor water park, a kid’s museum, hotdogs, doughnuts, and scooters on the greenway!
Now you want some real behind the scenes pictures?
I’d love to leave you with those sunny photos above but I don’t want to leave out the reality…
Me being a supportive mom when Oliver was pretending to “hold the city in his hands”
Sullivan being Sullivan and not feeling the family pic.
And yes, on the way home they complained that that was all we were going to do that day.
Big talkers…they crashed the second we got home.
And in reality, this little girl is still an angel…
