Hey friends! I know many of you are beginning 2017 with a focus on organization and productivity so what better way to motivate you guys than with a bright white office reveal! Blogging has been the thing that’s had to take a back seat as my business has grown but I will never miss a chance to share a shiny new reveal with y’all! I began this project back in the spring and sadly I cannot find the “before” photos. That hurts my heart because the reveal is so much better when you can appreciate the ugly before. In this case the before wasn’t ugly, just empty. The room was storage to some miscellaneous craft supplies and a hand-me-down desk. There was a big blank wall with two small windows just floating up in the air and another set of windows that were just bare. We mixed modern with rustic to create a workspace that energizes this busy mama and keeps all of her things in check while still being a pretty escape!

The #1 need for this room was storage so we began by designing a built in wall unit with a carpenter. He suggested building out the unit around the windows and I love how it turned out. It really frames the feature and keeps it light and airy. My client’s husband just happens to be super handy and was able to build the countertop when marble and other options proved to be too pricey. He used wood and topped it with a white wash glaze and I think it turned out beautifully. I can probably get a more detailed tutorial from him if anyone is interested!
My client wanted a place to keep all of her craft and office supplies so we came up with a selection of bins and baskets to hide it all. We also used some metal milk crates to keep the prettier things.
We toyed around with several ideas for desks but landed on this rustic custom option she found on a local online community sight. They topped it with glass so that she has a smooth work surface.
The desk chair is perfectly feminine without being too over the top. I love how the nailhead trim pulls out the chrome from the light fixture.
We used simple inexpensive white frames to create a gallery wall. We stuck with black and white photos as not to compete with the colorful art across the way.
I love the mix of colors and patterns in this room, especially the pinstripe bench!
We had custom roman shades made for the windows to add a little interest without blocking out the light.
This large abstract art piece makes the best focal point! We had it framed to match the built-ins so the art stays center stage.
We had a small blank wall to address behind the desk so we chose a large round mirror to help reflect the light…the natural light as well as the actual light fixture! I love how the mirror and light both add a touch of modern to the room!
This room was a blast to work on. Once again, I had a dream client who offered just enough opinions to make this feel very collaborative while still placing a lot of trust in my vision. I think the room turned out absolutely perfect and I am proud to add it to my portfolio! Find all of the details below and make sure to leave a comment letting us know what you think!

Beth, this room is gorgeous! It’s just what I would want for an office if I had the space. Love how the bright blue rug contrasts all the light and bright elements. The built ins, roman shades, and the bench and pillows are all so great, love it all.
