I call her my perspective-checker. Each day that I walk into our preschool and see her I am reminded to not sweat the small stuff. To be more present. To deepen my faith. What do you give someone who has given you that kind of perspective?
One of the teachers at our preschool went through the unimaginable tragedy of losing two children in May. She and her husband have been the picture of strength and faith ever since. My heart literally aches when I think about what she has been through and yet, there she is, surrounded by the children at school who love her so dearly, smiling through her grief. Her willingness to share her pain, her raw emotions, and her unwavering faith through it all has literally changed me forever. You can’t repay that kind of gift but you can try to share a little joy.
I noticed through social media that she frequently does little projects around her house…a therapy I can definitely relate to 🙂 When Lowe’s reached out and asked me if I had anyone special in mind with whom I would like to share one of their new giftable boxes I jumped at the chance. One of the verses that this family has clung to is “Be still and know that I am God” so I thought the “Patio Zen” box was a great fit! They can create their own little space to just be.
The packaging is so fun and festive and each box contains all the supplies you need:
I have always wanted twinkle lights and backyard oasis like this…
But until then I am using my kit for holiday decorating!
How fun would it be to send one of these boxes (or one of the many other themes) to someone really special. Everyone loves happy mail, especially this time of year and think of the hours of shopping, online or in person, you could save by just setting up delivery through a couple clicks!
Check out all of the themes here.
I have my eye on several Lowe’s giftables this year so if your name is on my list get excited!
And you can also get excited about a little giveaway I will doing over on Instagram today!
Head over to see how you can win your own box of goodies!
*Thanks to Lowe’s for supplying these giftables. All opinions are my own.

I love this one!!! Now I wish I had gone with the grown up box and not the one for the kiddos. JK! They're all great!

Oh, I can't even imagine what she has gone through. I love that you thought of doing something like this for her. It's true, it doesn't take much to brighten someone's day and these giftables seem like a great idea!

I have no words for what she has gone through. How devastating. So thoughtful for you to think of her and love what Lowes is doing!
