Ah summer…I have exactly 6 days until all of my kids are officially out of school and I am officially on my way to Amanda Bynes-crazy. I needed a plan to fill up the endless hours so I came up with a list of easy things we can do throughout the summer. A bucket list with an A-B-C theme. Hey, it’s the teacher coming back out in me.
go to an Amusement park
play Baseball on the high school’s field
get a Cupcake at the bakery
have a Doughnut breakfast
Eat dinner outside
go Fishing
scooter ride on the Greenway
Hike on 40 acre rock
get a chocolate-dipped Ice cream cone
go to monkey Joe’s
take a Kayak ride at the lake
check out books from the Library
go see a Movie
go to the Nature museum
go to an Outdoor music night
make our own Popsicles
make Quick crafts
take a Ride on the light rail
get a Slushie
go to the Trampoline place
Unusual day: try new things
Visit a park we have never been to before
have friends over for a Water play date
eXtreme fun day at the arcade
have a Yes day
visit a Zoo
Aside from our beach trips and visitors,
there will be about 30 days to fill.
I am hoping this list will give us a little direction
when we need something easy and fun.
Oliver helped me come up with the ideas and I tried to keep
them all realistic and inexpensive.
Here’s to hoping we all make it through the summer with our sanity in tact.
Don’t forget the power of a happy hour with your husband once he gets home 🙂

Love that list! You are on track to having a great summer with all those activities…and even though my kids are more young adults I think we would enjoy doing several together!

I definitely "guided" him towards a couple of these so I could do them 🙂

This is a great list, and nice way to post it! good job teacher! I used to be a high school art teacher 🙂 Sounds like a great time ahead with the family. Don't forget to schedule in lunch with a gf or pedicure for your sanity!

Ooh good call! I can totally see you as a high school teacher. I was too intimidated to go above elementary but you would be great with the older ones!
