Alright so last week I told you that Lauren and I are working on our three nieces bedrooms. Their mom, our other sister Adrienne, cannot stand to decorate so she made a deal with us. She is a consultant for Rodan and Fields and has been singing their praises. I am always looking for great skincare so we decided that we would make a trade…we decorate and she takes care of our skin!
As I get older I definitely notice more changes with my skin and not good ones. Suddenly the years of sun damage are showing up. Not to mention, the signs of mother hood that I wear in the form of dark circles, bags, and crow’s feet. So I was ecstatic when Adrienne said we could barter…my services for her skincare products. Just like your house, your skin needs refreshing now and then! Well, constantly once you pass the age of 30 🙁
So before we get to this week’s progress on the bedrooms, here is a frightening before of my skin:

And now on to decorating. This week we focused on bedding. These girls definitely have an opinion on things and we wanted them to feel like they had input on their rooms. We’ve decided to break down the process by letting them choose the specific items in their rooms. Instead of presenting completed design boards, we are presenting the girls with separate items and allowing them to choose as we go. Remember, Lauren is working on Molly’s room and I am tackling the room that will be shared by the younger two, Gracie and Finley.
It is so important to give kids a voice in choosing their room decor. You want their space to feel personal and I think it’s important in general to let kids figure out their own taste. Now, that doesn’t mean you can’t still control the level of tacky but, giving in where you can is important!

This is so fun, me not having to decorate…LOL!!! Thanks for making project part of you blog and for trying some Rodan and Fields, I don't think either of us will be disappointed!
desingpostinteriors@hotmail.com says
Well the girls might be disappointed if I can't cover their entire rooms in chevron but we'll both be happy!

Skin issues, I have tons!!! My daughter loves to point out all my wrinkles! I'd pimp myself out for some skin refreshing too.
I love option 2 of the choices
