in real life
We are truckin right through this summer and I, for one, am sad that school is starting soon. I know I will love the time alone but I am going to miss these unstructured days. One of my new favorite things to do is go for walks down our street and find pretty flowers and greenery. I don’t steal from my neighbors but I am sure some of them are starting to wonder why I am always breaking branches off random trees and bushes.
retail therapy via Target girls department
The nasty stomach bug that decided to visit our house last week was a real bummer. I decided I needed a little pick-me-up so I headed to Target. Where else?! Although I never get sick of Target, I do go so often that sometimes there is nothing new to see. Every once in a while I will venture into the little girl’s department…it’s kind of my secret. I will buy a bracelet for my abnormally small wrists and I have even found a great pair of printed ankle pants. This time I found an awesome deal on a shirt that could pass for Anthropologie or Madewell…for a fraction of the cost…
You would be surprised how large some of the clothing runs. And even if you are too embarrassed to try on adolescent clothing, you could at least poach from their jewelry and purses. Skip the Hello Kitty variety but, you can find other cute things like this minty cross body bag. I am a little eh on that trend for some reason but, this one is small enough that it wouldn’t bother me and would be great for hands-free shopping or a date night. I couldn’t find it online but my store had them on clearance for $7.99!
