As a follow-up to my advice on How To Style Bookshelves, I thought I would give you an example of what I might buy to style my shelves (or any decorating surface!) You saw a little peak of my shelves when I revealed my living room, which I styled using inexpensive accessories so I set a limit of $100 for this post because I think you can find some really great things that pack a punch with just a limited budget.
It only takes a few eye-catching pieces to create an interesting vignette. I like to find couple of special items and then fill in with my go-to’s: greenery, glass, and wood. I also included some art because it always breathes some life into shelves. And if your shelves are tall art can be a great way to fill vertical space by leaning a piece against the back and layering accessories in front of it.
